Rep. Matt Manweller to host telephone town hall June 22

Residents of the 13th Legislative District are invited to join Rep. Matt Manweller for an hour-long telephone town hall on Wednesday, June 22, at 6 p.m. The program works much like a call-in radio show, in which residents can listen in, ask questions and participate in surveys.

To participate, citizens can call (509) 895-5003 during the event. If listeners have questions during the call, they can press the star (*) key on their telephone keypads.

"The Legislature is not in session, but I am hearing from people about possible school closures, education funding, minimum wage, health care costs and other issues," said Manweller, R-Ellensburg. "The telephone town hall is an effective tool to reach constituents across the large 13th Legislative District. Their input and feedback is important to me as we focus on issues we want to address in the next legislative session."

The 13th Legislative District includes Kittitas and Lincoln counties, most of Grant and a part of Yakima County.
